How to Use a Drop Box

• Verify your current amount(s) due using QuickSearch and ZOTAccount Online.
• Submit a check, money order, or cashier's check made payable to UC Regents.  Never place cash in a drop box; we cannot be responsible for its security.
• Write your student ID number legibly on the front of the check.
• Provide a payment stub whenever possible.  Stubs are attached to every AR/C statement and PACE agreement mailed to you.  ZOTAccount payment stubs may be printed online, while viewing your Current Account.
• Enclose your payment, preferably with a payment stub, in an envelope addressed to the Central Cashier's Office.  Blue pre-addressed envelopes may be available at some drop box locations.
• No postage is required when you use a campus drop box.

Important Reminders

• Pick-up times for each drop box are posted.  Always allow time for delivery, especially when a payment is due that day.  Payments deposited before the last pick-up time will reach the Central Cashier on the same day.  Payments deposited after the last pick-up time will be delivered on the following business day.  On a due date, payments deposited after the last pick-up time are late, and your account will be assessed late charges.
• When paying registration fees, make sure you resolve any holds or outstanding debts that may be blocking your registration.  If you are unable to clear these items in advance, we recommend enclosing release forms and/or payments for outstanding debts with your registration fee payment.  If you send payments separately, processing your registration fee payment may be delayed until your release or debt payment arrives at the Central Cashier.
• You may use one check to pay both AR/C and ZOTAccount charges, as long as you clearly designate the items to be paid.  Whenever possible, enclose the relevant payment stubs, and be sure your check amount matches the total due on the stubs.  Always list the items you are paying on the front of your check.  For example, if you need to pay Student Health invoice #123456 for $35.00, plus your Spring registration fees for $2297.50, write something like "#123456 + Spr reg fees" on your check for $2332.50.
• Do not use a "Special Mail" drop box to deposit payments due to any cashier other than the Central Cashier.  Conversely, do not use other cashiers' drop slots for payments due to the Central Cashier.  The Housing Cashier has its own drop slot, facing the parking lot in the back of Housing Administrative Services (Building 6 on the printable campus map).  This drop slot is for housing payments only and should never be used for AR/C or ZOTAccount payments.  For more information on making housing payments, read the payment information page, or call the Housing Information Desk at (949) 824-6811.

Drop Box Locations and Pick-Up Times

	2:30 PM Public Services Building (Building 7 in grid C9 on the campus map) The drop box is located near the parking lot at the north side of the building.
	2:35 PM ICS/Engineering Research Facility (Building 310 in grid F8 on the campus map) The drop box is located at the west side of the building.
	2:40 PM Physical Sciences Research Facility (Building 410 in grid  F7 on the campus map) The drop box is located at the southwest corner of the building, near Parking Lot #12A.
	2:45 PM Medical Sciences B (Building 811 in grid G5 on the campus map) The drop box is located at the north side of the building.
	2:50 PM Biological Sciences Greenhouse (Building 514 in grid E5 on the campus map) The drop box is located across the service road from the building.
	2:55 PM Studio Four (Building 725 in grid D5 on the campus map) The drop box is located at the west side of the building, near Parking Lot #11.
	3:30 PM Administration Building (Building 111 in grid D6 on the campus map) The drop slot is located in the outer wall of the building, near the main entrance on the east side.
