Service (TCRS) Web Site http://www.1098t.com/ You may access your individual tax records to: ¤ update the address used on your 1098-T, prior to the mailing date (does not affect UCI records) ¤ consent to electronic delivery, instead of paper mailing, to receive 1098-T information more efficiently ¤ print duplicate copies of your 1098-T, for the current and previous tax years (if applicable) ¤ obtain the related personal financial information, for the current and previous tax years (if applicable) ¤ review details of the financial transactions used to generate your 1098-T |
If it is necessary to request 1098-T information from UCI staff, please use the campus email address established specifically for this purpose: tra@uci.edu. Students who prefer to telephone may call Campus Billing Services (949) 824-2455 (Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) to speak with an account representative. Please state your name and UCI student ID number with your question. To protect your personal information, never send your Social Security Number (SSN) in an email message.
Note that federal privacy regulations prohibit our disclosing your 1098-T information to anyone else (even your parents or spouse), until we receive written authorization from you. To grant permission for Campus Billing Services staff to review your 1098-T with another person, send a message to tra@uci.edu, stating your name and UCI student ID number, and the name of the person with whom your information may be discussed. You may find it more convenient, however, simply to print pages from TCRS or to access the web site in the other person's presence, in order to share information.
UCI and TCRS staff are unable to provide you, or your designated representative, with individual income tax advice. Please contact the Internal Revenue Service (800) 829-1040 or your personal tax advisor for help preparing your tax return. For free tax assistance, visit the IRS web site, contact your local IRS office in California, or locate a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) site in your area.
